When I did 2 strand twists on my own hair i'd use Elasta-QP mango butter, or i'd use some melted shea butter. I'd do the twists on my hair immediately out of the shower after a wash/condition/detangle.

You'll also have a bangin twistout if you undo the twists after rocking it for awhile. I'd leave my hair up a week or so.. then undo them, and have beautiful wild twistout for a few days.. then i'd pull it up into a puff for another day.. After that, time to do it again.

You should wash/condition your hair as usual. Afterwards apply an anti-frizz serum throughout your hair and comb it really good. Oh I forgot, make sure to work while your hair is still damp. This makes the twists have a smoother appearance. To cure the 'bushy roots' try to work in small partings. Go to www.nappturality.com for more natural hair tips!
