If you believe in miracles, there's no way you can say 'yes' to that. My eye fell out, but I still have the other one! It's a miracle! I'm dying, but I'm not dead yet! It's a miracle!

If, like me, you are a fatalist, then you believe that nothing is coincidence. We have the free will to make choices - however the consequences are a matter of fate, not luck. Fate brings people and situations into our lives whenever and wherever it so chooses. What we do with those people and situations are a matter of our own choice. The consequences of our actions is not something we can control. Life will unfold as it should. Disagree? Ask any Christian, for they believe this very concept - you have free will to follow Jesus or not. The consequence of your choice is pre-ordained however (heaven or hell.) Mind you, I don't subscribe to the teachings of a religion barely 2 millenia old, but to each his own. Which brings me to the answer to your question. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. The majority of poor people are obese because they cannot afford healthy food (which is much more expensive than a box of Little Debbie's and a bag of chips) nor can they afford a membership to a gym in most cases. If one is born into a rich family, the benefits they enjoy come without having to put forth any effort of their own. Many good and worthy people struggle their whole lives just to exist, while many corrupt and spolied brats grow up to sqaunder their money on things as malignantly idiotic and meaningless as PRADA. Oprah Winfrey is known as someone who does good for people - but look deep and you will see that very little she does is for men. You have to play the hand you are dealt. Every once in a while some poor sap gets a pair of aces. Most of the time though, they are left holding the empty box the cards came in.

Who said that a person DOESN'T get a miracle?

Let's say you're poor and you pray that win the lottery. Is it not a miracle if you don't win the lottery, but somehow you make it through 9 months of unemployment and somehow keep your apartment?

Miracles are all relative. Sometimes what we want isn't what we really need.

While a sextuple bypass may seem like a horrible experience, it's a miracle if the person who had the bypass survives for the next 20 years without a heart attack.

Not only not get miracles, they dont get a break. I am a nice deserving person, never would hurt anyone deliberately in my life. I work with under privleged people and give a lot of my time to helping others. My ex husband cheated on me, I lost my security of a home, etc because of his actions...he met someone else who had a lot of money and now he is very financially secure. I have done it hard working to provide for our children that he is not interested in. I looked after my father at home when he was dying from cancer....gave up my job so I could do this. Allowed my mother to have a wonderful relationship with my children, would visit her every day, and take her out all the time. My sister has always been a greedy type of a person, and very rarely would see my mother. My mother got sick, my sister sold her house and move in with my mother. My mother died and the Will was changed by my sister 3 months before Mum died. I contested the Will. I got a nice car out of it, and some nice furniture. My sister ended up with assets to the value of 1.8 million. I injured myself at work and have lost at least 40,000 in wages while I was being rehabilitated, and with the smarts in the insurance industry, I have not only lost money, but the ability to work in my normal capacity. I cannot recoup any of that money back because of the manipulation between lawyers and doctors who are prepared to say there is nothing wrong with me.

While I dont expect miracles, it would be nice to be given some kind of fairness in this life. I am renting and doing it hard. My sister is sitting back with not a care in the world, taking off on world trips when she feels like it. My ex husband has no responsibilities, a rich wife, and not a care in the world. I did nothing to make this happen....seriously I thought "right" would win out in the end. In this life I believe the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and there isnt much we can do about it. I would love a miracle to happen, but experience has told me there is a reason why this has all happened, and its not on the physical plane...it has to do with spiritual....it has to because I have had to draw on a lot of my personal strength and beliefs to get me through a lot of tough times. While my sister and ex husband are sitting pretty, they have no soul, they have no conscience, and I am wondering what God will say to them when its their time to go. I think their greed will be their downfall.

Just being a good, deserving person doesn't mean a miracle will ever take place in someone's life. Life just isn't that simple. If that was the case, I would have had one a long time ago.

Everyone is given the miracle of birth. What they decide to do after that is their own free will. If one decides to choose good then the karma they receive back is equally good. The universe is always in balance.

Of course. Try reading the book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People".

Everyone and everything is basically a miracle simply due to it's actuality of occuring, so I'd have to say no.

There is no such thing as a 'deserving' person except Jesus because every single person on earth has sinned and therefore becomes deserving of only death and Hell. So, because your question is now proven incorrect because there is no such thing as a deserving person, unless you speak of Hell and death, the answer is yes some people don't get miracles.

hahahahahahahaha...........

Oh, yes ! God blesses who He wills. I don't pretend to understand it, I know that He will, and does work Miracles, I also know that we don't always get the Miracle we seek. But God is God.
