i have 2 cats and i bathe them both about once a month...i cant say they like it, but i think its necessary for a good clean, and if you're quick they dont really mind too much!
i do it in the basin as the bath would be too big to keep them under control...and yes, they do still love me!! (i think)

ok, it really depends on ur cat. Is he/she good natured? Is the cat wild or completely tame? And sometimes it depends only on the cat. I had a very good natured cat...u could accidnetly step on his tail and he wouldn't even look up. I tried to give him a bath after he climbed up the chimney and he almost clawed my eyes out. looool. My other cat, who is fairly finicky, had a skin problem and I gave him a bath and he just stood there.
If ur cat is wild...forget it. If you think mb you can try..then do this:
during mealtime, take ur cat into the bathroom with her/his food and close the door. Take a bucket of warm water and a rag and while the cat is eating, gently, with a little bit of water, start washing the cat. If the cat responds ok, continue until he/she is wet all over. When the cat is clean, take a towel and wrap the cat in it and keep the cat warm till it is dry.
now, most cats do not need to be washed. If the cat is persian/himalayan, i can see where you might need to try, or if the cat has gotten into some trouble (like climbing up the chimney ;) )
hope this helps!

how old is your cat? If its a kitten then yes, there easy to train you've just got to make it a game, get him playing in the bath with a toy and then next time try it with the plug hole in with a little bit of water, roll a ball in to it make him get him self wet show him its not to bad, after a little while of this he shouldn't be as scared and then introduce him to a bath in the sink. hold him at all times so he feels safe but as a kitten he should quickly adapt and will get used to and eventually like it. Adult cats are a different story, there much harder to convince, i would suggest try giving it a bath in the kitchen sink a few times, if that doesn't work and the cat still refuses to corporate then settle for a rub down with a warm wet hand towel and a good grooming brush

you can but the cat won't probably like it...i bathe my kitten once in a while when she gets really dirty, coz she tends to hang out in areas of the house where dusts usually accumulate (under the bed, behind furnitures, etc). But if I bathe her, I try to be carefuk not to get water in her ears and I do it really fast and also have her towel ready and dry her quickly. Cats instinctively clean themselves by licking but there are some areas they can't reach. Cat's naturally hate to be exposed to water. My cat's still a kitten so she doesn't strongly resist the bathing (although I already got some minor scratches). But do be very careful if you have a grown cat, they are bigger therefore they have more strength and they could scratch you really bad, they might even bite you. Instead of bathing, try first scrubbing the body with a wet towel.

Yes, but cats bathe themselves naturally. The cat won't appreciate getting wet and may be scared of you after experiencing the bath. Unless she is really dirty or muddy, don't bathe her. Also, if she's wet she'll probably get cold. I don't think bathing your cat is a good idea.
Another thing to think about is YOU. She will scratch and try to get out. You'll probably end up with scratches all over your arms.

Yes, of course you can. The younger you start them bathing the easier it is for them to adjust to the routine. Some do not require regular bathes, but if your cat has gotten into something or just needs a maintenance bath it is a good idea.
Here are some pointers:

If you have started bathing your cat when it was a kitten it may have already overcome the severe threat that water poses to a feline critter. I bathe my kitty twice a year so she is used to it but I do call my neighbor over to help me because she gets a little crazy. Good Luck to you and your cat. Don't forget to use alcohol on your wounds and take some Advil for the pain. And you may not see your cat for at least a day because she will be very mad at you and everything else.

Yes u can bathe ur cat

First take ur cat to the bathroom and put him on the bathe tub.

Next turn ur tap on a warm temperature and show kittens back and go forward to its neck but not its face after u can wash its face by a damp towel
If u have some cat shampoo use it.

Close ur door until ur finished.

Hi, Im a cat lover and have taken on cat bathing when a cat was covered in poster paint & once when cat was covered in errr something smelly. I would only bathe a cat if covered in, what it cant wash off itself.
Key point: Cats have pride, its a bit like your Mum licking a hanky and wiping ice-cream off your chin at 30 yrs old in the middle of a shop!? Annoying:) If u had claws what would u do?
Respect the cat and make a professional do the yukky bits so cat doesnt blame u.

You can. I do with my cat, but it can be tricky. You can get regular pet shampoo at the store, but be prepared to get wet and possibly scratched. Turn the heat up in your house so that it is warm and the kitty doesn't get a cold. Also, blow dry the cat a little bit so that they aren't dripping wet. Be sure the blow dryer doesn't get too hot though! Try one that has a cold setting.

Also, if throwing an uncooperative cat into the tub doesn't sound exciting, I have bought wipes at pet stores before. They work okay, but not as well as a bathtub. I did have someone tell me once that using a wet bath towel works as well.

You can, but it would certainly help if you were experienced. Think about it, your cat has 20 weapons alone with just claws not to mention teeth. They will use these, even your cute cuddly kitty. If you decide to forgo this, my first question would be why? fleas? Only if your cat has fleas should it be bathed, not because you might think he/she is dirty. Cats will more than enough take care of themselves bathing wise. You did not ask how to bathe a cat so I won't bore you with the details. My suggestion to you is don't go there because you will regret it. If it is fleas feel free to email me, perhaps I can give you other alternatives.
