Puppy formula - never give a dog milk. But at 1 month, the puppy is old enough to be getting dry puppy food mixed with a little warm water. It also needs fresh drinking water available.

It would not be the best idea to give cows milk, the proteins in cows milk are just to big for the puppy to digest. The best bet would be to get a formula from your vet. However if you can not afford the formula you buy what is called Pets Milk at your local grocery store. I had to do this and it worked out just fine. However I would still contact your vet and get a professional opinion.

A puppy shouldn't have regular milk. You can buy puppy formula at pet shops or vet clinics. It can be bought in either a liquid or powder form. Getting the powder will get you more for your money, and it is specially made to wean puppies.

no you can not feed a dog regular milk. at 4 weeks they should still be nursing on mom til they are 6 weeks. if they don't have a mom then you can give them a milk replacement for puppies not regular milk. you can give them puppy food but make sure that you soak it in warm water to soften it up for them so it is easier for them to eat. so the thing to do is get puppy food and a mothers replacement milk for them and feed that to them til they are 6 weeks and then you can feed the puppy food only. you can also use in the food is some canned food for puppies. the best food for puppies is called (chicken soup) i feed this to my goldens and they look great. i also feed my puppies this food too and they are doing great on it. the food is not that expensive and easy to get. good luck.
