How do they differ in taste and appearance? They both don't have seeds, as well.

Clementines and Mandarins are two different varieties of tangerine.

Satsuma Mandarin oranges, tend to be smaller and have a prominent dimple on the part that attached to the stem.

Clementines are about the size of a jumbo Satsuma Mandarin. They don't have the same "EZ Peel" characteristic and tend to be rounder than the mandarins.

TASTE:
in my opinion, the Mandarins tend to be more "tart" and the clementines a wee bit sweeter. Both are way more tart than typical tangerines or oranges.

All those orange-but-not-an-orange fruits are types of mandarin oranges. Tangerine is a general term deriving from Tangiers, the Tunisian port where Chinese mandarins were first imported. Satsumas are a class of mandarin traced to 15th century Japan - loose skinned, sweet and mostly seedless. Clementines are grown around the Mediterranean - small, glossy, sweet but sharp. There also Dancy, Tangelo, Ponkan... to name a few all cross-pollinated, there are hundreds of varieties. Now you know.

They are very similar. Clementines are seedless and can be bigger. Mandarin oranges are smaller and have seeds. They taste very much the same. Clemeies can be very sweet. Yum.

They are the same size and have the same appearance. Clementines are naturally sweeter and easier to peel.

I'm guessing they're the same difference as tangerines but a little bigger
