I am a cheese lover and would like a site that I can refer to about all types of cheese not just your regular cheddar, swiss, or brie but all the unique ones as well. Also I want this site to include pictures and to have good descriptions of each cheese. A plus for this site would be comments from people about the cheeses. Any suggestions for sites to check out?! only serious answers, do not say I do not know, that is not helpful Thank you!

If you're in the Boston/Cambridge area, I highly recommend Formaggio. Located in Camridge, they are fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable staff, excellent, food/wine pairing suggestions.
The website is well done, with nice pictures, and descriptions, of each product.
If you're not in the area go to:

They have their own cheese cave!! Need I say more?

I've tried pretty much all of the US ones, I found the Ideal Cheese Shop in New York to be the best on three fronts: quality, packaging/shipping, and selection. I've had some nightmarish experiences with other merchants, the pool of brie on my porch, the mediocre 'gourmet' cheese, the inadvisability of certain packaging methods (straw, hours picking it out of the ball of melted cheeses that eventually showed up). Ideal cheese priced reasonably and packaged excellently. Quality is as advertised.
