Should you base who you date on their first name? No.

Yes, it makes no difference. As a matter of fact, it may be easier.

well logically this first name thing doesnt have any kind of special natural prefrences according to the affect to the past life of such person to be considered something unlucky is purely a superstition....but dating with someone who has the same name as ur ex-husband....is probably not even something close to the person u were with in ur past life....now what really matters here is the thing that how people react, and interact with each other as for their names match and even if their habits too....as we all know that the whole world is full of different people and races...with their respective religions too....now what we have to do is see that how are we tryin to keep up with a person who has the same name as ur ex....okay lets consider he or she has the same name as the ex-husband or wife....but how can we judge or predict something which doesnt even have a logical affect's on our future lives....in my opinion what i think is we always should listen to the hearts and do what our brain says....letting such acts like superstitions commanding our brain and heart...would never let us have success in the life.....so what we have to look forward to is our future life...and the best way to go through that is we have to accept and consider whats comin our way...without thinking that my date is the same name as the ex....but always keep that in mind and realize that ur "ex" is not the only one person around in the whole world .......

Shouldn't matter. Although at first the name might bring to mind her ex-husband, in time she will think of the person she is with. If he doesn't have a problem with it then she should go for it.

sure.. less likely to scream the wrong name.. Oops did i say that??
no seriously, if she can deal with it..than it's fine. a lot of people have the same name, and if there is a connection why should that stand in the way?? i mean, if she can look at the dating man and say his name w/o being flooded with all the memories of the ex...than rock on..

If it doesn't bother the woman that her new 'friend' shares the same name with the ex-husband it shouldn't be a problem.

I don't really think it is the name of the person that counts. If the woman really likes the man, they should date. It is the person, not the name of the person that counts. If the name bothers her that badly, she could give the guy a nickname, or use his middle name.

Yea, it should be no problem that he has the same name. What if you passed up this guy and he turned out to be your dream guy and you never knew it, and now hes married and its too late, soo dont worry about the name, if it really bothers you, try to think of a nick name to call him so it doesnt stirr up old feelings, hope this helps, good luck

yes. she shouldnt try to choose her future boyfriends or husband in that way but if she falls for another with that name then theres nothing wrong with it. its the feelings that matter. & besides, she may not even remember the name similarity after a while & think only of the man shes with

no.
she should only date him if the same name is the same as the last name of the ex, or the last name is the first name of the first ex of the last name.
