Yes, I know a lady that has a Chihuahua that she trained to go in a litter box.

Yes, you can train a dog to do anything. You just need enough patience and a big litter box. I have known a few people to train their cats to use the toilet, so why can't you train a dog to use a litter box?

dogs by nature dont use a litter box. any puppy you get is going to take alot of work and training to be housebroken and if you dont have the time to spend with it get a cat, it will go to the litter box on its own.

It's possible, but every dog needs to go outside a lot. They need fresh air just like we do. Not to mention all the new smells outside. Mine are like kids in a candy store outside and they go out A LOT every day!
Having said that, unless you are handi-capped and you can't get your aid dog outside, I would say teach it to go outside.
