just tell her the truth,,,, then tell her you'll pay to replace or repair it with your allowance, or you could get a job....

don't try to hide it from her, you'll only make things worse....

go to the nikon website, probably www.nikon.com, and send them an email about your camera. tell them what is going on and ask if you can send it in to be repaired.... most of those cameras will have some kind of warranty on them, and to have it repaired will be much cheaper than getting a new camera.

just don't stress. it could be worse,,,, you could have dropped it in a puddle..... :)

if you need help, send me an email. good luck!!

Is the lens totally broken off? if yes, then you have to buy another camera. But if the lens is stuck, sometimes you can pull it and it will start working again. It has happened with my camera. I simply pulled the lens to its original place. And oddly enough, it has been a year since then, and it has been working totally fine.

If the lens has been totally broken off. Then don't cry, just talk to your parents. After-all, mistakes happen. You are just human. People have mistakenly killed other people. You have just broken a small camera which is made of plastic. So don't stress yourself. Just talk to your parents and admit it right away. Don't hide anything. Accept that you did it. This way, they will be impressed by your honesty and most likely wont say anything.

If you have a dog tell them the dog did it, just kidding. NikonL4 don't cost much around 130.00 tell them the truth I don't think they will get to mad.
