How is the curriculum for BS in chemical engineering? How hard is it...when does it get hard?? Easier than Calc 3(that's where I am and think it's hard)?? What tips would you give to succeed in this program??

I think the curriculum actually gets better and easier once you get into the chemical engineering classes. They are actually interesting (as opposed to the endless physics and math you have to take as prerequisites). Physics and calc can be really difficult, but they are usually weed-out classes. Of course, some of the courses are really difficult, but if you are enjoying them it is bearable and some classes will even come easily because they're interesting. It is definitely worth it--keep at it.

The curriculum for Chemical Engineering is very tough. The first couple of years, before you start the heart courses, it is much like Chemistry. However, if you don't like math or chemistry, are not good at them, or don't want to work, stay away from all of the engineering disciplines.

The preparatory prerequisite courses are calculus, chemistry and physics. If you get through them without too many problems you have a chance. But make no mistake, you will never waltz through --- it will take a lot of work and determination to finish no matter how smart you are because nobody who is a dunce starts to begin with and the competition is stiff.

Chemical engineers apply the pricipals of chemistry and mathematics to solve problems involving chemical reactions.

If you have any trouble with math, then you will find a Chemical Engineering curriculum very difficult. In addition to calculus you will also need differential equations. If you have anything other than an A in these classes, you will have a very difficult time.

I recognize that as an aerospace engineer you'll make extra. But, there's a better want for chemical engineers. You can have extra a laugh finding out approximately aerospace. There will mostly plenty of identical categories among the 2, so choose the one who sounds probably the most intriguing to you.
