My husband found out what I weigh in an article ran about my 16,000 mile walk around America. Before that, he didn't know (but might have guessed!) I was just wondering if there is anyone else that is horrified at the thought of a partner, friend or anyone knowing what they weigh.

I'm not in denial, I know I'm fat and I'm changing that. My husband married me fat and then I gained another 100 pounds. My health and life are in danger from being so heavy and I'm changing it.
Just wondered if I was the only one who didn't like saying the number out loud.
I have gotten over that and I do like who I am, just don't want to die because of my weight and love of food.

Geeezzz......don't you think they have a good idea whether you are fat or not? Why are people in such denial? Other people can tell!

No, I am not horrified. And I am not a small girl. If you are intimate with one another, that person probably already has an idea. Men are usually not that good at guessing when you are 200+, but if he loves you, he loves you no matter what you weigh. The number may alarm him for a while, but he will get over it.

That's funny that you ask this question... just this morning I told my mom what I weigh and I don't usually tell anyone else... I have a guy friend that says that he likes me just the way I am but I'm not offering him the knowledge of knowing what I weigh... I know I'm overweight and it's obvious to others that I'm overweight but they don't need to know just how much... I'm not exactly comfortable with how much I weigh. I've gained alot of weight since I quit using drugs... 2 years now... but I tell you this... I would rather be fat and happy than sucked up and fu@ked up...

My husband has an idea of what I weigh, but it does not matter to him at all! If I ever bust that 200 pound mark, THAT is when the problem will come in! lol

I have no problem telling my husband how much I weigh. He loves me just the way I am. If I want to lose weight, however, it will be for me and no one else. Don't be so concerned as to how other see you. Whatever you do, do it to make yourself happy if you're wanting to lose weight. I could care less if someone thinks I have excess weight. I care more about how I feel about myself.

If you cannot confide in your partner, then why do you have one? You need to learn to accept yourself and don't worry about what others think of you or how you look. After all, he married you. Time to get over it.

I am not embarassed at all for my husband to know what I weigh. I'm happy with who I am and he's happy that I'm happy. I'm not even embarassed to tell you: I weigh 262 lbs.

NO, he told me he'd love me no matter what I weighed! But, I'd rather not share it with others, it's none of their business, like age!
