There is a school, but you can teach yourself. Some places will hire groomers that trained them self, but many won't. There are books for grooming dogs that tell you the basics, so if would go get a few and see how that works. If you are wanting to do grooming on the side, I probably wouldn't go to a school for it. You may also be able to get a job as a bather (at large grooming shops), you don't make great money, but it isn't too bad.

I am not sure. I know that you may groom dogs in your home without having to go to school to get a degree.

I also know that you may be hired at Petco or Petsmart if you take a special course with them. As for other places, I am not sure. But I know that the course at Petco or Petsmart would be very imformative and may help you further this job interest.

Yes. In fact, I have bought my dog to grooming school because it is cheap.

petsmart and petco offer acadamies after you have been a bather for a while and they feel you are ready. grooming isnt as easy as it may seem, it takes a special person to do it. more dogs are bad than good, its not all fun and games.

In some cases you can apprentice with an established groomer-but be prepared to work hard and do the all the grunt work in order to learn your craft.

You need to either go to school or train under a professional groomer. Preferably both.

Depends if you open a little shop out of your home then you dont, but if you were planning on really starting a real buisness, then depending where you live would be the outcome.

You don't have to but you would have a better chance of getting customers if you were certified.
