For those of you who will say it is something bad, why do you think that way?

I am a Christian bordering on Christian Witchery. As I see it, Witchcraft is the term given to the practice of magick. "Well what is magick?", one may ask. Magick is supernatural energies being gathered together in one place to acheive a desired effect. It can also be called miracles (and usually is by Christians). The difference between magick and miracles is the interpretation of from where is comes. Typically, Christians will claim that God does miracles. I do not contest this point. I believe that God can do practically anything he wants, so if he wants to perform a miracle, so be it. But magick comes from us. I believe it is a gift that God has given to humankind, the ability to affect the world around us. Just as the Bible speaks of gifts of prophesy and of healing, I believe these are various aspects of magick that God has given to us. It is we who do the magick, once we have discovered how to do so.
All places in the Bible where it translates as "witchcraft" are misinterpretations. The places that have been translated as "witchcraft" in the Bible come from various words, the most common being Kashaph, which in context implies a person who uses supernatural powers to bewitch another person and manipulate their actions (often coupled with sex, such as in the case of Jezebel). Other terms that are translated as witchcraft are Pharmakeia (which implies drug use to enchant others), Anan (meaning cloudwatcher, or one who seeks to fortell the future based on changes in nature), and Ob (one who conjures up the spirits of the dead).

What is Witchcraft? Who are these Witches anyway?
A practitioner of a nature-based belief system or religion. Not all Witches follow the same belief system. Some practice what is called the "old religion" which has its roots in pagan pre-monotheistic folk ways and beliefs and usually follows the seasonal cycles. These belief systems or "traditions" of Witches are often based upon the particular culture from whence they originated. Many Witches believe in a polytheistic deity structure (usually based upon the local gods and goddesses of the area of origin), but some simply practice magick (sometimes spelled with a 'k' to differentiate it from stage magic). Witches may practice alone as 'solitaries" or in covens. There are also family groups or traditions which trace their practices and beliefs within the same close group throughout several generations.

Some Christians think witchcraft is bad because they believe those of any other religion are deceived by the devil and that all other gods are false gods and demons in disguise.
Some may think of Pagan religions as more bad than, say, Islam, because those in Paganism may use magic, which Christians do not understand much about apart from stereotypes and folk stories of 'witches', and that they believe magic comes from the devil, as in the Bible in the Old Testament, God appears to disapprove of witchraft, sorcery, etc.

Witchcraft is an old term for a way for the Church to punish women for free thinking and speaking their mind. Wicca is an Earth based religion that is often associated with Witchcraft. Personally I try to keep the terms separate.

Witchcraft is about linking to the earth, about connecting to the natural world in a spiritual way.

It is the belief in Multiple God's and an also in nature as well as magic.I am not saying that it is something bad because they don't worship the Devil like some people may think. Most believe in doing no harm because they know that whatever one causes to happen to another comes back to them just the same as a Christian knows that one must Reap what one sows.

Theophilus is a typical christian moron.
Quotes from an outdated book of bronze-age jewish mythology makes him feel superior. But he has no clue what they mean.
Thanks for the fine example there Theo, the more people like you post, the less others want to be like you.
Keep up the good work.
