Allah is a name given to the god of the Muslims.

He has nothing to do with Jesus. Jesus is the Son of the God who created all things.

Allah is God is Yahweh. To put it way to simply Islam and Christianity are both growths from Judaism. Each has differnent views on most of the same material and have come to different conclusion. Muslims accept Jesus a the second to last prophet, with Mohammad being the last prohet and most important. Christians see Jesus as the messiah and savior and do not recongnize Mohammad as being part of thier religion.

Long, complicated lesson you need here. Here are the quick points.

1. Hundreds of years after Jesus, a man by the name of Mohammed receives communications from "god".
2. He is told that the correct name for god is Allan. Allah = God.
3. Next, god, or Allah, tells Mohammed that Christianity is wrong, and that the real words of god, er Allah have been told wrong.
4. Allah tells Mohammed the real words of god, er him, er Allah. This was collected and wrote down as the Qu'ran. The equivalent to the Christian Bible.

So, where was Jesus? He was dead. Dead for a long time. Waiting to arise maybe? Who knows. Here is a kicker though. The muslims actually recognize Jesus as a holy prophet, just not the son of god. That too, was revealed by Allah to Mohammed.

Confused? Read the Qu'ran yourself with my link below.

Muhammad chose Allah from 360 idols. When Muhammad took control of Mecca he destroyed these idols and kept the stone deity, Allah. Allah is a crescent moon god. Muhammad supposedly received revelations from an angel of light. These revelations were written down in what is known as the Koran, Quran or Islamic holy book. His main message was "There is no god but Allah." Second main thing he taught was man is God's slave. Islam means, in Arabic, submission. A Muslim submits to the will of Allah. People of Mecca didn't think to much of Muhammad and he fled to Medina, about 180 miles north of Mecca. This was beginning of Islam. In the Middle East everything is based upon the time that Muhammad fled to Medina. that is the beginning of Islamic calendar. In Medina, Muhammad tried to get the Christians and Jews to follow him as "the prophet" and they refused. He then began to receive more revelations such as to loot and rob caravans and kill men in order to satisfy Muhammad's greed. Muhammad fought over 66 battles, killing tens of thousands of people. He beheaded 1,000 Jews at one time. In A.D. 628, he received the revelation that Islam was to be exalted above all other religions, including Christianity and Judaism. Jesus Christ is Lord and God, not Allah.

According to Islam, Allah is God and the creator of all things. They serve Allah and him only. In Islam, Jesus was a prophet...not Messiah or Savior of the world.

Jesus was already in Heaven when allah showed up on the scene in about 600 A.D.

allah was an obscure little moon god that was worshiped in a tent, that Muhammad stumbled across around 600 A.D. Muhammad wanted to be a prophet, so he had the Qu`ran written between 600-700 A.D.

Allah is what Mohammed, ie the Moslems call God.
Jesus according to them was only a prophet.
Their religion showed up about a thousand years after Jesus.
So you just have to decide if God wanted to change things after all the suffering Jesus went through, why would He pick that bunch?
