A person was shot in Minneapolis when he laughed at someone flashing a gang sign so obviosuly that isn't the correct response.

either ignore it, or show the guy respect. he just wants you to know that he has power over you, so you might as well just humor him. its not worth your life.

In my opinion it is by far best to not recognize it a a gang sign, most importantly don't be disrespectful. A guy at my school last year got stabbed in the neck with a pencil because he made some comment about a gang members shoe laces, they were gang colors because our highschool had banned most ways of recognizing rival gangs.
Point being its mostly a game played by those who care, ignore but respect is my advise.

when someone flashes you with their gang sign they're lettin you know what set they claim and who is behind. could be a way of sayin hello, what's up, and what set you claim. the proper way to respond is to give a head nod lettin them know u are cool with that association they're claiming or throw them your gang sign to let them wath set you claim and move on. unless u guys are in rivals gangs but if you were you wound'nt be askin this question.

If the gang is feuding with your gang you have to throw up your set and represent! Gang signs are not funny unless handycap people are (the Crips...) are doing them

I know when i was driving my lexus drop to I just did the giving head sign back and they tried to light my hair on fire! You have to be careful!
