What can you expect if you were to breed a female white German Shepherd with a male Black and tan German Shepherd?
Any idea what the puppies might look like?

What were the parent's of the white colored? Genetics here, I would have to look at the pedigree to give you an idea. If you have a white that is genetically a sable, you could get all sables if the white is pure for sable, meaning she got a sable gene from both parents. The white just masks the true genetic color, pattern of the white dog. If you have a white that carries black and tan, you could get an entire litter of black and tans. If your male carries the recessive white gene, then you could get whites in the litter by breeding this along with other color's. E-mail me if you would like and I can look at the pedigree for you. You will not get white in the breeding unless your male carries white. If your white is pure for sable, you will only get sables out of her. If both carry silver, you can get silver's in the litter either silver sable or black and silvers. You could even get some black in the litter if both parents carry the recessive black gene. For example, the one black and silver girl I have is out of a black bred to a black and tan. Her mother is a black and tan that carries silver from her mother. Her father is a black that also carries silver and white, he is out of a white bred to a red sable. Contact me through my profile and I can take a look at the pedigree for you.

White German shepherds are very rare, and not a dominant color. Most of the puppies will probably be Black and Tan, but if you are lucky, you might get a white or two. Depends on how many are born and how many survive.

I have also seen some pups with a little white spot on their ears, near their eye, or on their chest. I don't know if this is a result of breeding a Black and Tan and a White but it very well could be.

You will get probably get whites and washed out black and tans. Dark rich colors are preferred. White is a disqualifying color for the GSD so why would you want to use a white GSD. White Shepherds are not rare but breeders have been selectively breeding to eliminate the whites, as a matter of fact in Germany(where the breed originated) if a White does show up it is put down at birth.

A white German Shepherd is a German Shepherd with the coat colour of white - which ability particular, they're purebred. White German Shepherds are known by the AKC, yet won't be able to be shown in conformation, in spite of the reality that they might instruct in all different AKC events.

There is no way to really tell although I would think that a white german shepherd is more rare so you would get maybe one white one but probably no more. You would really have to go into genetics and all that stuff which i will not do.
