Some Christian churches use snakes in their service to worship because in the Bible somewhere it says that Moses' people got bit by snakes and were healed after looking at a snake with a cross. Some Christians are afraid of snakes. Some are not. It really doesn't matter if you are a Christian or not to be afraid of snakes. I know satan was considered a snake in the book of Genesis.

@pilotr - the serpent in Genesis is the devil: Rev.12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: Looking at it spiritually - Snakes represent evil - he acts as an invisible force in a believer's life and like the python, rattlesnake, cobra: The python can squeeze the life from someone they typically remain motionless in a camouflaged position - Prey is killed by a process known as constriction; Applying and maintaining sufficient pressure to prevent it from inhaling, the prey eventually succumbs due to asphyxiation. - Tries to suffocate the Christian and cut off His Spiritual Strength The rattlesnake lie in wait for their prey The prey are killed quickly with a venomous bite - If we give the devil an inch - he takes a mile The cobra The king cobra is the world’s largest venomous snake. While it preys chiefly on other snakes, the king cobra is highly aggressive, extremely fast and agile, and injects a larger amount of venom per bite (as much as 600 mg) than most snakes. Can't play with the devil - his bite is dangerous - once he gets a hold of a Christian - he spits his poison into their spirit. No, we do not like snakes - like satan - they are sneaky - untrustworthy - waiting to attack

I dont like snakes... Not many people do christain or not! Snakes are ment to be disliked by us, because Satan was made into a serpent, when he tempted Adam and Eve... The Bible says that Satan was able to walk on all 4's until he tempted Adam and Eve so God cast him down and made him a serpent to dwell on his belly... Snakes are slick, tricky and sly so i think that God made a good choice lol... But also i am not saying that Satan is a snake, the Bible says that he can walk the face of the earth in the form of whatever he pleases, man or animal.... He is a desever! But no not everyone hates snakes.

The serpent used by Satan was just a tool he used. People who hate snakes because of this probably also hate guns, knives, gunpowder, nuclear power, hammers, screw drivers, rocks, shovels, hot coffee, and a host of other things that could be used as a tool to hurt someone.

I do not like spiders or snakes.Nothing to do with being Christian
as a matter of fact,I think that is the very most misinterpreted thing in the entire Bible.I use common sense when I read.Three
people in paradise,Adam, Eve, God Almighty.A hissing snake comes up to Eve,She listens.I would scream Adam ,God help there is a creepy thing here talking to me.

... i don't.

i know what your talking about from Genesis, where God said He'd make humans and serpents not like each other; but I'm pretty sure that the serpent was representing the devil, and that's what is the enemy of humans.

As for just hating snakes, i kind of think they're cool. Are you scared of them?

I am Christian and I have no problem with snakes. They are just another one of Gods creatures. And they have a purpose for being here just like you and I.
