I am so sorry that you will not see your boy on Christmas, It must be so painful. Actually, I do understand. My son was very ill when he was young and he was in a hospital for two years. One Christmas I couldn't see him on that day and it was the worse Christmas ever.
So, let your son open ALL his presents. Enjoy EVERY moment with him. Look at his eye's and see his smile. Hear his voice and absorb all his glory.
These moments go fast as he will grow fast. Love him now and forever.
Enjoy!

Why not what is stoping you you are in control of your life right well you call the shots.Your lucky my only son is in jail and that will break your heart. So when you have it good don;t complain.Just be glad you have that.It always could be worst.I didn;t see my son for7years no contact at all.People out there are probably a lot worst off then you or I.Just think of all the people that there son is dead or dieing.Be thankful you have alot to be thankful for lucky lady.

You should have been a better mother, then you would have custody of your child.

You have bigger problems than whether or not your kid can open presents or not. You should clean your act up and you would see your kid more than 3 times in 12 months.

of course you let him open the present! The look on his face is the most precious thing anyone can get back as a xmas present!

Let him open them with you and give him one, super-special one for Christmas (like a photo of the two of you or something), so he knows you're thinking of him. That way, he won't be left out on Christmas, but you get to see him open gifts.

Yes, he's your son also so you should share that special moment with him, even if he just opens one present.

Of course. At least see him smile. I know that's a good feeling.

It's his present and therefore his choice.
Remember Love is unconditional.
