marines is more dangerous.
I'm in the air force and I've been deployed and seen where the marines go when they are deployed...right to the heart of the war.
Oh and a common misconception(believe it or not) is that all of us in the air force are flying planes. That's totally untrue. There are many jobs in the air force. We've got everything from office jobs to veterinarians,which is also true of the other armed forces.
Only a portion of the air force are actually pilots and the rest of us help support the mission in our own way.

You would be in the high percentage of dying in the Marines. Airforce makes up in engineering and mechanical drafting jobs. Not to say they do not have fighters, they do, but mainly test pilots, medics, engineers, repairmen, and that sort. If you are looking for the safe route, Airforce is your best bet. If you are looking to an adventure the Marines are the best.

There's no competition on this one. The Marines face much higher mortality rates right now. The Air Force is present in Iraq, conducting convoys and busting down doors, but not anywhere near as much or in as high percentages as the Marines or Army. A comparison of the Air Force and Navy might be more accurate...

the marines is way more dangerous over all but the Airforce has pararescue they are the ones to rescue navy seals and marines out of hostile areas and then you have combat controllers who goes into enemy territory to create a landing strip for planes to land on.
but that is only a small fraction of the Airforce the rest of the airforce is just to fragile and geeky besides Security forces who are over ther with the marines right now.

Marines by far. Air force is the safest.
The order of being in harm's way generally is:
Marines, Army, Navy, then Air Force. Marines and Army have many many more casualties than the Navy and Air Force, though, by % and by #.
