We have 2 Brits on our office and me and my friend heard them talking about a workmate who just had been fired and they said he was "hung like a donkey"

Is it normal for you British to hang defenceless farmyard animals?

What a bunch of brutes you all must be!!

I thought hung like a donkey (or more commonly 'hung like a horse') was talking about the size of their manliness? Never mind. We aren't that bad to animals though you wally, we just have old sayings that come from hundreds of years ago and nobody knows where they come from.

Wow, I was thinking the same thing about Americans. Actually, I've only know the 2. I worked at FedEx with them. Their names were Ted Kasinsky (the uni bomber) and his best friend Jeffery Dommer. They said they were the typical Americans, so I guess ALL Americans mail letter bombs and eat people. Is this true? You yourself must be a horrible person!

Or maybe you shouldn't judge an ENTIRE COUNTRY on your experience with a measly two people!!!!!!!!!!

British aren't the only abusive people. I'm sure they weren't speaking in the literal manner in which you took the comment.

We Brits started being so cruel when Americans decided that they were better than everyone else!

This is a very stupid way to get in a little vulgar quote. You should not demean the British with false impressions of being animal, when you just a little sick person and already know that quote is some males ego trying to make everyone think that his penis is bigger than his leg, which we know is impossible or they all would not fit into a jock cup, so go play with cup, it should hold your balls with room left over.

It's just a figure of speech. Don't take it literally.

If you really don't know the meaning, try this link:

Anyway my answer for your question is: "since the day when man was distinct from other species".
