In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Satan got into the Garden of Eden disguised as a serpent, remember? Of course God knew; however He didn't stop Him because He wanted to see if Adama and Eve folowed Satan.

One version has it that satan was already here... having been cast down by God... satan is the prince of this earth and will remain so and in controle of his forces of evil untill the end of this earth... the forces of evil are behind most of the ills of this world... they deceive mankind today just as they did in The Garden.

Yes He was looking, His Eyes never sleep.
Everything created by God, is seen by Him.
Satan was disguised as a snake.
We are created with a free will to do right or wrong. We cannot expect God to say "watch out".

Satan doesn't exist. The garden of eden never existed. There were people already across the world during that time frame from thousands and thousands of years prior.

if you accept that satan exists, and that the garden of eden exists, then satan entered thru the heart of man.

Satan;
Originally known as Ha-Shatan
In the original Hebrew that word translates as "The Adversary" or "The Prosecutor"...... he was not a bad guy. Christians made him to be something he was not originally meant to be...
It was his job to test all of Gods subjects....
Adam and Eve failed obviously (yes, both not just Eve)

Before the fall of man, the whole world was open and free. satan didn't like that, so he coned Adam and Eve into signing the deed over to him. Jesus got it back. Jesus loves you.
