I mean, his only evidence is The Bible, whose claim to credibility is itself.

There's no definitive independent evidence that Jesus lived, but I accept that he more than likely did. I believe, as did Thomas Jefferson, that he was a man and not a divine being, and I think it's more than likely that he would be appalled to know that his followers embellished his life story to make it appear that he claimed to be God or the Son of God. As a Jew, he would, in all likelihood, have considered that blasphemy.

I know that Jesus existed. The Bible is not the only evidence in existance. The Book of Mormon also testifies that He lived.

Even if you don't think these are valid sources, Is it possible that human beings have found All evidence about All civilizations that have ever lived? No, of course not. Scientists are still discovering new things. Even if you don't see the proof now, it is quite possible that scientists will (in the future) discover new sources of evidence that Jesus did exist.

Your kidding right? I assume you are bright enough to have done some research before you made a statement like that. Then again. there are those who just spew back what they are told without giving it any serious thought. So too answer your question; yes I do believe Jesus existed. Also, although I do view Scripture as a credible historical source, I could direct you towards other extra biblical evidence and manuscripts if you so desire.

With - Out a doubt I believe that my Jesus existed? And I beg to differ with ya! The bible is the spoken word of God, that we should rule and govern our lives by; But the main evidence is in the heart of the believer, When we accept Jesus as Lord there is a indwelling of the Spirit of the Lord that cause's those who believe to know with -out a doubt that he is real. And for those of us that have experienced this, a team of wild horse's couldn't change our mind.
You see my friend the Lord God will not be mocked, He is a jealous God and will not always allow people to ask and say such things about him , as you have here. Rather you believe it or not ,doesn't change one thing that is written in the bible. But in the Bible in and of itself, Be assured that every word spoken from the mouth of God will most assuredly happen.
And that I would pray that the Father in heaven forgive you for you know not what you are doing.

There isn't really a dispute about whether or not He existed, that's *history*, some people just don't believe that He is the Son of God. He is not only spoken of in the Bible. Do you really think people know details of Cleopatra's life (who lived before Jesus), but not about someone who lived much more recently???

Non biblical accounts of
New Testament events and/or people

Flavius Josephus (AD 37?-101?, a Jewish historian) mentions John the Baptist and Herod - Antiquities, Book 18, ch. 5, par. 2

Flavius Josephus (AD 37?-101?) mentions Jesus - Antiquities, Book 18, ch. 3, par. 3.

Pliny the Younger mentioned Christ. Pliny was governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. Pliny wrote ten books. The tenth around AD 112.

The Talmud

"On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, "He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy.

Lucian (circa 120-after 180) mentions Jesus. Greek writer and rhetorician.

"The Christians, you know, worship a man to this day—the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account. . . . You see, these misguided creatures start with the general conviction that they are immortal for all time, which explains the contempt of death and voluntary self-devotion which are so common among them; and then it was impressed on them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers, from the moment that they are converted, and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws. All this they take quite on faith, with the result that they despise all worldly goods alike, regarding them merely as common property."

There is more evidence for the existence of Jesus than any other person on this earth including popular modern people. Just go to any library in any free country. You will find more articles on Jesus that any other subject, bar none. Don't believe it-check it out.

...If you don't believe He existed, I guess you will have to deny secular historians who wrote of Him, and the New Testament - there are over 25,000 fragments and manuscripts of it that survive, and these speak of Him. And there is more evidence for the New Testament than any 10 pieces of antiquated literature (and I'll bet you don't question those other pieces of antiquated literature, like Caesar's History of the Gallic Wars).
...If you read Luke and Acts, you will find that Dr. Luke carefully verified everything about Jesus, and the New Testament books were mainly written by those who saw and knew Him.
...And in 1 John 1 we read the following:
...1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life--
...2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us--
...3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
...Last, it would be quite an accomplishment for someone who never existed to change our whole system of dating (i.e., B.C., A.D.)...

Do you seriously believe the Romans weren't meticulous record keepers?

Actually, if you would take some time and research it, the Romans kept meticulous records. You will find that Jesus of Nazareth walked the earth, paid taxes as a carpenter, made some Rabbi's very angry and died on the cross.

There's more documentation than the Bible.

Do your homework before posting such non-sense. It really makes you look foolish.
