I took some chicken out of the freezer on Sunday. I wanted to make dinner with it yesterday but that didn't happen. Is it still okay to eat it today (Tuesday)?
Thanks.

Its okay providing it was thawed in the fridge, not on the counter. You can smell it...if it smells kind of eggie, its no good. If you have to smell it more than twice to find a smell , then it should be ok.

It will likely be okay tomorrow but smell it first. Rinse well. How long did it sit out or was it refrigerated the whole time. So much just depends. It depends on how cold your fridge is. You might want to cook it now even if you don't eat right away - it will stay longer. How about just adding water and cooking into soup or broth? Later you can add celery, carrots, onion, parsnip and garlic, salt & pepper. Then let sit overnight to cool off and put the pot into the fridge in the morning. You'll have chicken soup, chicken meat for chicken salad or for sandwiches or on salads. AT the least, cook it plain or just add a little SLF for flavor. You can always season it later.

Raw, thawed chicken is good for 1-2 days in the refrigerator. If yours was frozen on Sunday night it should be perfectly fine to eat today.

I usually take my chicken out of the freezer and into the refridgerator to thaw. I wouldn't use the chicken though if it has been out more than one day. You have to be very careful where chicken is concerned.

Absolutely!!!! You can keep it 3 or 4 days with no problem. Check the "sell by' date on the package, that is when the store must sell it by, it will stay in your fridge for like I said another 3-4 days past that date.

Takes a day to thaw it out, then 48hrs. Id say three days max. otherwise it starts to get discolored and smell funny even in the fridge.

Usually about 3 days once it's been thawed out. Use it by tomorrow or toss it!

YES IT WILL BE OK. ANY MEAT THAT WAS FROZEN AND TAKEN OUT IS ONLY GOOD IN THE FRIDGE FOR 3 DAYS AND NO LONGER.

If you don't use it today then throw it away, you are risking samonella. If you aren't going to eat it today, you can cook it today and reheat it tomorrow, but don't leave it raw any longer.
