You give credit to Thomas edison for the light bulb, credit to Henry Ford for the car(or mass manufacturing of the car)

You give credit to everyone else for what they've done and accomplished;but why cant you give honor to God for the creation of the universe?

God is as real as you want him to be. Whether a person believes in the existence of any god is a personal choice.

The ultimate goal of any religion is teach people to live their lives in a certain way. Most religions teach their followers to live positive and moral lives. Whether a person believes in God or not has nothing to do with whether they lead a good and moral life. There have been many people that claim to be Christians that have led very destructive lives. I say this to make the point that Atheists and Agnostics are not bad people simply because they don't believe in God. The same is true for Christians...they are not good people simply because they do believe in God. How a person lives his or her life is more important than believing or not believing in one particular religion or god.

Why do those verses only make me think of Kent Hovind?

I do not honor a god that I do not believe in.

And, even if I believed in the existence of your god, I would not honor a god that kills babies, condones rape, genocide and pillaging, and creates a "relationship" with his followers based on fear and guilt.

There is no evidence that any god created the universe. It's impossible to give credit to nothing.

Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were both undeniably real. Furthermore, they produced objects that truly benefitted the world.

"Christianity" has caused widespread fear, death, and ignorance that is slow to fight. Christ himself is innocent--it is the ego of his so-called followers who are evil.
