Help with Windows media player 11?

I installed windows media player 11 but after I installed it a window came up saying that it was not properly installed and must be reinstalled. I don't know what to do, I can't figure out to reinstalled. I''m stuck. Can someone please help me out?

goto control panel and add or remove program and unstaill 11 from there and reinstall it again. let me know if u need more help

I downloaded the same version a couple days ago, and had the same problem, I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but that didn't work so I just kept downloading it til it eventually put it on correctly.
