Typically cats are pretty good about sharing the same litter and box. You'll want to make sure that you keep the box clean though. Also - make sure the kitten can get in and out of the box comfortably - the box I use for big cats would not work for kittens.

Regarding food - as a previous poster said, kittens really do best on kitten food/chow, so make sure there is kitten food avaliable for the baby. The cats may end up eating out of the same bowl just fine, but to start, I would start them with two bowls just so they start off on the right track together.

How two cats get along has little to do with gender, in my experience. Make sure you introduce them slowly, give them equal attention, and give them time to get to know each other.

You should not expect them to share the same litter box, although they MAY use the same one, you need one more litter box than you have cats(2 cats...3 litter boxes,etc.). They should each have their own dishes just as you would want your own dish That's not to say that they won't occasionally sneak a few bites from the other ones dish ( mine do that occasionally)

Several years ago I had a cat who had 3 litters, and she always let them share the litter box and food/water dish with her. So, yes, I think she will.

They should share the same litter box. Are they the same sex? Sometimes that makes a difference. It really depends on your older cat. You might want to get a different food bowl, my 3 cats get along, but they're picky when it comes to food, they don't want to share the bowl.

The older cat should have her own litterbox, food dishes and sleeping place. She is the senior and her position in your household should be honored.

Make sure she can have her usual naps without being molested by the kitten.

If your older cat isn't food protective I can't see why not, especially if they are free fed. However, an younger cat requires a different diet than an older cat. It's something to consider.

I find it best to allow each cat their own items. My cats won’t even eat out of each other’s bowl or go potty in their litter box.

Most female cats get along pretty well and will share. however, they will have a social order (one cta will always get it first over the other.) Male cats are territorial, and are more unlikely to share.

Mine do. But some cats are a bit more finicky.
