I can definitely empathize....Since you cannot cure a cold with antibiotics (because a cold is a virus & antibiotics treat bacteria), the best thing to do is drink TONS of fluid (hot tea, water, soup). Try not to go out too much; stay at home and get lots of rest. When you wake up from your naps, study for your finals. You can buy over-the-counter (OTC) meds from your drug store to minimize any symptoms you have like coughing, sore throat, etc. NyQuil/DayQuil and cough drops work well for me. But, please read the labels carefully before using any OTC meds. Drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest!!! Best of luck to you! =)

Avoid diuretics, like coffee(I know that may be impossible at this time), drink lots of water, get as much rest as is possibly, try something such as coldeeze, zycam, or dayquil in the daytime to keep from becoming drowsy and nyquil at night to help you sleep.
The benefits of Vit C and Echinacea are only suggestive, not proven facts, so they won't actually help, most people who take them and feel better are actually having a placebo effect caused by their believing in it and not having actually read any research on them, but hey if it works for them, then great! So, don't rely on those alone. Hope this helps and good luck on your exams!

Zycam is supposed to be good, and I've heard that Coldeeze works well too. Echinachea (I think it's spelled right, Spell-check didn't pick it up) has worked for me too, I can usually knock a cold in about 3 days. Get as much rest as you can, and stay hydrated, and splurge on a box of Puffs if the cold is going to come anyway - your nose will thank you!

When I was in college, I used to get a cold every single semester during finals. The most important thing is to get as much rest as you can - it's hard when you have so much studying to do, but try your best. If you get run-down, you'll just make it worse and it'll take longer to get better. Drink lots of fluids, take your vitamins and try to eat healthy. Also, I have friends who swear by Zicam or Airborne, which you take as soon as you start to feel a cold coming on and supposedly they help you get better faster.

first things first. if you dont relax and get rest you are letting the cold win.second. drink lots of water, take vitamins and dont skip out on sleep, your body needs time to recouperate.third- you probably got this cold because you might be stressed out and your immune system is low. just take it easy. :)
