I don't know what you have other people doing already, but just letting her be part of the action and letting her know that you want her to fell included is always a start. Let her help make the orders or pick up stuff that you need. Stuff like that. At the wedding you could always put her in charge of the guest book!!!!

Congratulations for your engagement.

What kind of relationship do you have with her or want to have with her? Is she someone you want to develop a close relationship with, if yes then take her shopping with you, let her chose what she wants to do, for personal touch you can give her responsibilities of the flowers, decorators, centerpieces, cake tasting, you can also give her some semi-formal (but very important) responspilities like helping chose photographer, invitations, sending invitations, taking care of the guest, chosing seating, but for this she will need to know your family and friends as you don't want any issues of 2 people with a rift sitting on the same table. Good luck and have a great wedding.

Maybe ask if she would like to help out with the guestbook or the flowers.

Or if you have a closer relationship or would like one, invite her to some of the planning activities---such as picking out the dress, flowers, addressing invitations, etc.

You could also include acknowledge her at the wedding with a corsage as well.

When my sister got married both she and her husband had step parents as well as natural parents active in their l;ives. Our birth dad walked her down the asile and the minster instead of asking who gives the bride in marriage,he asked who gives (their names )in marriage, all the parents answered we do.If you are having a religious ceremony, she could do a reading, maybe light a special candle with you, hubby and all the "parents",symbolizing the 2 families are joining and becoming one.Good luck,Happy weddig day!Robin

why don't you ask her what she would feel comfortable doing and if she is open to anything I think that the suggestions above are appropriate. It is important to know if she doesnt feel uncomfortable being involved in something so personal in a new relationship....good luck and congratulations!

Maybe she could be an usher? Or put her in charge of coordinating parking, music (there are always electronics to be supervised).
