My dog is almost 2 years old and has a problem with chewing on things (normally mine). This is a problem even when we are at home.

She also likes to pull the table cloth off the table when we aren't home. I don't want to get rid of her but she is driving me crazy. Please help!!!!

she neeeds to be crate trained when you are not home and needs her own toys to play with. You must corect her when she is bad and give her a toy and praise her when good. We never hit our dogs. Inroll in a dog obed class

Buy her some chew toys, or sacrifice something of yours you don't mind her chewing and put everything else in the cupboard or up out of her reach. Take the table cloth off during the day. She is only doing this because she's bored.

I have a shih tzu i absolutely love her to death but yes she can be a holy terror. I use a crate when im not home and at night. It has worked great with her house training and keeps her out of trouble when im not there to watch her, and she actually likes having her own little "safe" zone she will go in there and lay when theres other people over or she otherwise doesnt want to be bothered.

i have a shitzu/maletese and from what i can remember she used to be very playful when she was that age. you need to smack her on the nose if she does it. it doesnt have to be really hard but yeah if that doesnt work then you need to get obedience training of something. sorry not too much help but yeah
