They can.... I was in a long distance relationship with my husband before we were married. We were both in the military and in different places....we spent allot of time flying back and forth to see each-other and talking on the phone...cards, letters, e-mails and flowers...even after we got married, we lived apart for awhile. It's all about commitment. If two people are committed to each-other, distance does not get in the way!

Unfortunately No. I think people who are in long distance relationships hope for the best but in your hearts probably know things won't work out. I just personally got out of a long distance relationship. I was in it for years..we loved eachother very much & wanted to be together. Somehow we just could never make it work. It ended with him finding someone else and telling me it was over on the phone literally 1 month after I last saw him. It's absolute torture and there will be tons of stupid fights all because of the strain the distance puts on both of you.
I'd like to say there's an easy answer but there really isn't...especially if you both really love eachother...just be aware of wait lies ahead. Bottom line – there will have to be tons of trust and one of you will eventually have to be willing to compromise to be with the other one.

It depends on two things: how long is the distance and how long is the time invested in the relationship

long distance relationships are sooo hard to deal with, and put so much pressure and stress on one another that it is very hard to keep one alive and well! Most long distance relationships start out strong, but once the lonely nights start kicking in, they tend to fade away!

If they are in a long-distance relationship, they're not really "together" much at all.

Not really.. It will only hurt u in the long run because of the distance. They don't last very long....I'm speaking from experience.

Yes, but it will take a lot of love and communication to make the relationship work.
