Cats are naturally curious animals. My cat used to stick her paw in the water dish all the time. I used a large, heavy water dish instead of a thin plastic one. If you look around in grocery stores and WalMart, I am sure that you will eventually see a solid sturdy dish. They are stylish, can't be moved around as easy, and provide a lot of fresh water.

It could be 2 things. Either she is lonely and ants another cat to play with, or she is just happy playing with the water bowl.

Do you monitor what she watches on TV? Snoopy was on recently, and throughout the Christmas time will be on some more. He always seems to be doing things - dragging, flipping, holding - his food dish. Keep an eye on that remote...

Is it empty? She wants water. If not, I'm not sure. Maybe she really likes water and is trying to hide it or play with it.

One of mine did that until I got a different type. He just did it for fun, like it was a toy or something.

Msybe she just thinks that it is something fun to do. It is nothing to worry about though.
