I do not know the price of Nokia 6230i.
I was reading the answer of Alphacent and I am pretty confused. I look at my SONY Bravia TV, Sony DVD Player and my Sony camera. Ok, I will honest. I bought the camera from Dubai, because it was cheaper but the rest from Istanbul, Turkey.
I really don't like people giving answers to the questions without knowledge. They just assume and write.

Experience talks: My daughter took her mobile to UK last year and bought a 'sim card' there (pay as u go type). This means she was able to use her mobile bought in Cyprus, while she was in the UK. Therefore, the reverse is possible too. You can get a pay as you go sim card in Turkey and put in your mobile and use it while you are in Turkey. I am not sure about the price but it should not be more than 10-20 UK pounds.

A lot more than it does here.
Although they are a poorer country than us, i've found electrical products are more expensive and good quality brands like Sony are almost impossible to find.
I have some Turkish friends and i took them over a few mobile phones last year, they were delighted as it would have cost them a fortune.
Tesco had a deal on the 6230i recently for £79.99, priced at £89.99 but money comes off at till, you'd have to check it's still on. I have a 6230i and thay said it would cost over £200 in Turkey.
Worth taking a few phones over on your next visit particulally something like that Nokia.
