He's the same person, son of Mary, but the different religions have different theologies of him.
Jewish people think he was a false rabbi, and not the Messiah.
Christians say he was the son of God, or God incarnate (depends on who you ask).
Muslims say Jesus (peace be upon him) was a prophet of God like Moses (peace be upon him), born miraculously from a virgin, and he is the messiah. He was one of the greatest prophets, he was as close to Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a brother, as well as all the other prophets. Muhammad once said they were as close as two fingers crossed. Muslims believe Jesus is coming back, and you cannot be Muslim if you don't believe in his prophethood.
Those are the basics. From that, you have Christianity building up a doctrine of atonement based on their belief that he was God's son and died for their sins. Muslims believe God brought him up to heaven still alive, to save him from being killed. Muslims and Christians believe he will return soon and fight the anti-Christ, but there are differences in the end-times stories.

Muslims believe Jesus was NOT the Son of God, but merel a prophet. They do not believe in the Crucifiction, they believe Jesus somehow got away, and someone else was crucified in his place, and Mohammad finished what Jesus was unable to.
Christians believe Jesus was the Son of God, some believe he was PART of God also, the believe he was rucified for our sins, and there has been, and will be no more prophets, as his work was completed.

I believe that Muslims view Jesus Christ as a prophet, along the same line as Muhammed. Whereas Christians view Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

From what I understand, Christians believe Jesus was the Son of God and therefore divine himself, while Muslims believe he was a holy prophet, a good man who was a messenger of Allah, but human for all that.

Many of the orginal scriptures in Christianity were available to Muhammad, but not today. For example, the Gnostic scriptures were required to be distroyed, and some of those contain personal descriptions of Jesus. The recently discovered Gospel of Mary is one example, which states Jesus and Mary Magdaline had a romantic relationship. Muhammad stated in the Koran that Jesus was married and his disciplines and followers changed the story after the crucifiction he died for thier own interests. Muhammad did state he was a phophet of God, but his disciplines got the message wrong in their writings.

There is no difference...the Muslims just don't believe Jesus was the world's spiritual savior...the son of God...all that Christian stuff. They just believe that Jesus was a great prophet like Moses and the Old Testament Jewish patriarchs.

Well, it's the same guy. The only difference is we (Muslims) do not believe he is the son of God. We respect and revere him a lot though. He was among the greatest Prophets.

Muslims think Jesus is a prophet and a man, but not God. They do not think he died on the cross for people's sins.
