This is my second day fasting (basically) to lose weight. (not bc of religious resons.) Any tips on things i COULD DRINK or things i can do to STAY HEALTHY and LOSE WEIGHT FASTER? thnks.

Drink more than 64 oz of water daily. And if you have a juice machine and a way to get organic fruits and vegetables, make some juice. So basically you are on a juice fast. This isn't ideal for losing weight, you are shutting down your metabolism and sending your body into starvation mode. By drinking juices, your body will hold on to every bit of fat, carb and sugar. You can actually gain weight. You should eat at least every 2 hrs, just something like a few grapes or maybe a cracker, to keep your metabolism going full throttle. If you want to lose weight, try these tips... walk for an hour non-stop every day, drink 64 oz of water daily, try to stick to organic foods, stay away from highly processed foods and fast foods, drink 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar, mixed with some orange juice makes this easier. The vinegar burns fat throughout your body and the effects are fast. Eat a small salad before lunch and supper. Drink a glass of water as soon as you get up to kick start your metabolism. If you feel the need to get a little drastic, you can give yourself an enema. If you've never had one, you can pretty much bet on losing at least 10 lbs after you've done this. A gross fact is that our bodies are capable of holding over 5 lbs of fecal matter. That's what causes colon cancer. Anyway back to the subject, just try to walk as much as you can.

Start drinking green tea instead of coffee (if you drink coffee?) It boosts your metabolism and will help you lose weight. Its been medically proven to work. If you cant stand hot tea, buy the cold stuff but dont get anything with sugar in it. also they sell green tea pills (theyre safe...all they are is green tea....in pill form...so theyre also extremely inexpensive). So if you cant stand tea in general, these will work too. I'm not sure how they work but everyone has said that green tea works wonders for your metabolism. Also , BUY BENEFIBER!!!!!! its that fiber powder, its completely tasteless, you add it to anything you're drinking or eating. Its a little pricey but absolutely amazing. It'll help cleanse your system and regulate you. Trust me it's great and it really works. I put a spoon full in a glass and add water on top of it and it basically disapears. You really cant taste it at all.

Fasting is just going to make your body's metabolism shut down. Then, when you do start eating again, your body will just store it and you'll gain MORE weight. Don't let your body get into starvation mode. Ration yourself 1200 calories a day or something like that, and exercise. That way your body actually uses your fat stores, rather than going into panic mode and preserving them.

My tip: drink black coffee with an artificial sweetener. One cup of coffee has only 2 calories, and it curbs hunger very well so you won't be tempted to over-eat.

Maybe you should try the master cleanse. You can do it for as long as you want, and unlike shakes where you're only supposed to have three a day, you can drink your lemonade mixture whenever you're hungry, that's how Beyonce slimmed down for dreamgirls and look at her!! One of the radio djs from my state did it too and he loved it! Said he's never felt better. And to top it all off it cleans out your system. you can check it out at:

Be careful. Drink liquids. Maybe some Cranberry juice. You don't have to starve yourself you know. Oatmeal. Lecithin. Ever noticed how cut a horse is? Lean.

water an real fruit juice with no sugar added but if you like grapefruit juice it would be the best because grapefruit is suppose to help burn calories... :)

Fasting is not good for you. You lose muscle mass and suffer from muscle deterioration. Drink fluids if you must and take vitamin pills. Otherwise, you will have painful stomach and leg cramps.

Fasting is a bad idea for weight loss. Please stop.

To lose weight, you should adopt a low-fat diet under a doctor's supervision, decrease your overall calorie consumption accordingly, and increase your daily exercise with a special emphasis on cardio.
