The $15.00 a week for gas sounds fair to me. As for a job, maybe you should put an ad in your local paper for baby-sitting, house cleaning, lawn service...etc. It's better than nothing.
If your car is paid for, then there is a chance that you could get by with just liability insurance, check your local insurance laws.
Keep your head up, and always smile, if you think positive, then positive things will happen. Trust me on this!!! Hope things work out!

Sorry to hear about you situation, but maybe there is something else that can be done. Could your gram's not take you to take your test and then allow you to borrow the car? that is a starter. As for work is there really no one who or no where to go for a job? Are you really trying to find a job? I am not pushing you by any means, I got the impression at first before I found out how old you were, that you sounded like a 16 yr old and maybe that is the problem. Like and trust there is a solution to every problem, but when we are in the problem we can't seem to see one, take a step at a time, get your license first then go to the next step.
Best of luck!

You have a lot of elements going on at the same time. Try not to see all of them as a whole. You've written your issues down already. That's a big step!!! Now prioritize. Focus on what you need to do first. As important as your boyfriend is to you, keep everything into perspective. I believe you know the answers from within.....trust yourself and take small steps in solving the questions. You can't control what your parents have or have not done. Look for a good church with staff members who can talk with you about the deeper issues and help guide you in all these areas. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Just don't give up!!! There is always hope......especially in God. Celebrate Christmas in the true Spirit....it doesn't cost a dime!

First of all I know you would have liked the minimum hours rather than sitting at home with Granny doing nothing. You need to get on th bus and fill out applications anywhere they are hiring. My Mom once said to get a job you have to have job. If an employer see your trying then they'll want that determination on there team! You have no room to be picky about a job, in your case money is money, unless your boyfriend is making good money. And as far as gas for Granny that's nothing, the cost of gas is too much for you to complain about that. And you are very lucky to have a Grandma who doesn't mind her granddaughter shacking up, cause mine wouldn't play that! Girl you have no reason to be stressed get out there and get continuous rejections from employers and have to come up with rent money (do you pay Granny?) or even have no where to go. Then you'll be stressed!

To be honest with you, I'd be going crazy too! Maybe, for now, you could get a bike and a job close to home. Have you thought about baby sitting? That way you can save some money for a few weeks and use that money to take care of gas & insurance problems. I really hope this helps!!

Clean up and get a job.

I don't understand why you quit your job. A part time job would be better than not working at all.

Stop expecting other people in your life to help you. Make the decision to change your life and take action on that every day.

Call your local churches and see if they need help there or if they can help you find a job. Let them know of your situation and I am sure you will get some help with a job. A church has various jobs that need to be done and they might hire you.
Good luck and Merry Christmas. Hang in there and your situation will get better. The one thing you need to do is pray pray pray and God will hear your prayers. God Bless.

Quit whining and fight for what you want! Keep trying and do not let anyone knock you down. You are only 18 and have your whole life in front of you. If you want your license and a job then work hard for it and don't let yourself be told no! If you want something bad enough and are willing to work hard for it you WILL get it!! Just BELIEVE in yourself and anything is possible!

First, calm down.. by being stress you will add more problems..

I think you can use some job agencies to find you jobs.. Or let know as many friends as you can that you are looking for a job..

You can also throw some flyers with your number, saying that you need a job and things that you can do.. e.g: baby sitting etc..

Last, pray!

Good luck girl.. :-)
