It's tottaly okay. I spend a lot of time with my mom, too, so it's all good -- and if you don't live with him it's all the more reason to spend time with him. You need to get along with your parents! :D

Dude ... me & my dad are so close and enjoy each others company so much - most people think we're either dating or already married when we go out together .... which is weird to me since I'm 25 & he's 42 ... most girls would be envious of your relationship ... it's something that's not very cherished anymore with so many divorces and all ... in high school I hated it but my dad would MAKE me sit down and watch " Walker Texas Ranger " every week with him or I couldn't go out ... I miss those days ... have fun with your dad and don't worry what others say ... continue being " Daddy's little girl " ... !

Have you ever noticed the really happy people have gotten to spend alot of time and do things with their parents and didn't feel the need to let other kids think it's not cool?

Just tell your dad what you'd love to do, and that's spend more time. He'd love hearing it, I'm sure!

When I was a teenager, I loved hanging out with my family. In the years to come, you'll look back on the time you spent hanging with your parent(s) and have some of the coolest memories. Your peers are totaly missing out on having the kind of fun you are with your fam.

You should be proud! I have a 15 year old son that loves to hang out with me. It is a great thing when parents and children become friends! Hold on to the feeling and don't let it go!!

Tell him what you feel, that you want to spend more time with him. I think it's cool you want to hang with your dad. Too bad more kids don't feel the same.

Hang out with your Dad as often as you can. When you are older and married and busy with your own kids, you will treasure the time you did have with him.

my mom's my best friend- we do a lot together. i just recently moved out and i find myself calling her like 4 times a day sometimes! ask your dad to take you fishing or hiking or something cool. maybe camping for a weekend would be fun.

my dad passed away 1993. but i have lots of wonderful memories. when he's busy working and sometimes it entails a lot of travelling. i don't see him a lot. but when he makes time. we go out for a walk in the park. buy popcorn, watch a movie, or talk over ice cream, he really listens. sometimes he takes time to go watch my volleyball competitions. sometimes i go with him and watch him play mahjong with his friends. and when he wins, he'll take me shopping on the weekends.

It sounds like your doing just fine, just keep expressing interest in what he likes to do. Consider yourself lucky, many of us out there never got to chance to know there fathers.
