A teacher once told me the secret to happiness was "good health, good sex, and good bowel movements"

Do you agree, and if not, what should be added or deleted to the above answer for happiness?

That's not true, the secret to happiness is being happy with what you have. For most people that means thing that they want to have, not things that currently possess. Such is the reason why money cannot buy happiness. Because being in the habit of looking outward to what one wishes to get, creates a habit that never a lots a person happiness, for the joy that they get from their objects are always short living, consisting only of the moment that they get the object, then the thrill is lost and they want more. When you can finally feel satisfaction and joy from what you have right now in life and be content with that, you've found happiness. I'm sure those three could be included in many people's desires, but as far as those being the universal measurement of happiness, I'd have to disagree.

I'd say that financial independence and respect should be added to the list.. good bowel movements would go along with good health..
