What can I do to save the dough. The recipe called for 1 1/2 cups. I doubled that( 3 cups). I think I put in about 3/4 to 1 cup to much.Help?!

add more of everything else to the batter you'll have a lot of dough but it will save it (it happened 2 me b4)

Try to bake them anyway. As long as the ratios of ingredients remain the same (since you doubled the recipe, I think you did the right thing doubling the amount of sugar) you should be ok. If they don't turn out like you want, just start over and use the original recipe without doubling it. If that doesn't make enough cookies, just repeat.

double up on everything else, but no more sugar. divide the dough and freeze it. Use the other half and maybe for valentines day you can use the rest from the freezer. OR give away cookies at Christmas and new years. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finish doubling everything else. If you do not want to use all the dough at once, freeze part of it to use later.

if u put in 4 cups instead of 3 cups of sugar, you need to put in one third more of each ot the other ingredients.(not the sugar)
Voila, more yummy cookies.
