I don't really see big difference. I use both of them on diff. recipe. I also use plain yogert for less fat. If you use sweat cream, sour cream, or heavy cream, the cheesecake might have rich flavor.
try using subs. still makes good and tasty cakes with less fat.
^^

I don't know if this is the one you are looking for but it sounds good. Lemonade Sour Cream Cheese Cake Ingredients 1 box Duncan Hines Classic White Cake Mix 1 cup sour cream 1 small can frozen lemonade 1 8 ounce package Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened 3 eggs 1/2 teaspoon pure almond extract GLAZE 1 cup powdered sugar 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel Directions In large bowl, place all cake ingredients, blend carefully for about 1 minute Then beat at med-high speed 2 minutes more Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan OR 9 X 13 cake pan Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick placed in cake comes out clean (may take less baking time in a 9 X 13 pan) When done, remove pan from oven Let cool for 10 minutes before turning onto cake plate GLAZE Mix ingredients in a bowl until smooth Drizzle or pour onto cake (May punch a few holes in cake, drizzle)

Maybe you could sweeten the heavy cream to your liking. I've done this alot with other recipes. You could use caramel, or some kind of extract. Or sugar or powdered sugar.

Keep in mind that I've never made a cheesecake, lol. So I'm not sure what consistensy the cream needs to be.
