This has been common knowledge for months. They are dangerous if not unplugged from the wall after use and the worst part is that GHD as a company dont give a toss xxxxx

My son knows a few girls that have had the ghd's burn them/blow up. The importers were fined thousands of pounds cos it was something to do with lack of insulation on the wires. Saw it in the papers a few months ago but my son told me first. Thats why I am sticking to my excellent pink digital variable temperature straighteners from superdrug for around £12!!!!!!! They do an excellent job on my hair

I don't have GHDs, but I do know people who use them every day without problems. It's best to take advice from the programme, did they give a recall notice, or offer any warnings?

yeah it was a faulty batch from about 3-4 years ago. I bought mine around that time and mine recently started sparking at the wire, then conked out. and you know what I did, i went straight out and bought another pair. those straighteners are the best.
and to the girl who said that GHD dont give a toss they do because this happened to my friend and she was given another pair free of charge and complimentary products.

Its not happen to me so far.Ive purchased 1 which became faulty just after the manufacturers guarantee. It stopped working on a night that i was going out.I returned them and got a free replacement. So far they are the best straighteners so far. I never leave mine plugged in. It was a shock to see them on watch dog.
