I recently had a baby in October. I had a shower about 1 month before that and made sure that I sent out thank you cards for each and every person that got us something. As I should have. Anyways, my question is, when I had my baby, some of the same people bought extra gifts and gave them to me at the hospital. Do they get another Thank you card? You know when you have a baby, people will bring stuff up to your room? Do they get thank you cards too? I already sent them thank you cards for the shower gift because all of the people that brought stuff to the hospital, also attended the baby shower. Just wondering......

You dont HAVE too. But its a nice gesture anyway. Shows them how grateful you are.

No, One thank you card is enough. I'm sure you said thank you ar the hospital. It was there decision to buy extras, you did not ask for it. So the baby shower was the time for gifts. If they added more when the baby was born then thank you and I appreciate it.

Out of fear of offending someone, I always keep a list and acknowledge all the gifts, even if that person brought things to a shower, the hospital, and the house. But the notes become shorter!

At this point, I wouldn't worry about it. You have a two week deadline for writing thank you notes, and if you had your baby in October, that two week window is long gone.

If they are there to give it to you personally, I think that saying something there and then if sufficient. But if something is delivered, a quick thank you card would be appropriate.

Hum that's tricky. I would prob just call and thank them and let them know how much you appreciate them and their kindness.
