Go to the website which is relevant to your PC and it should be able to tell you by running a diagnostic if there are any available for your PC. HP does it for mine...you can download them directly.

To update drivers:

Go to the manufacturer's website for your exisitng graphics cards. This is likely to be either:

http://www.nvidia.com
or
http://www.ati.com

Select the operating system you are running and the card you are using, and download the relevant driver file.

To update your graphics card:

You will need to know if you have a PCI, AGP or PCI-E slot on your motherboard. Purchase the relevant card, and insert into the correct slot. Install the drivers from the CD that comes with the card. Update from the manufacturer's website.

to install a up to date driver on your p.c you should first uninstall your current driver by going in add/remove programs and removing the appropriate driver
you then need to download the driver for your graphic card,if its nvidia go to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp,if its a.t.i go to http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
once you have downloaded the appropriate driver you should then install them, you can do this by double clicking the file you downloaded, nvidia uses the forceware drivers and ati use the catylyst control center driver installation
NOTE: ati driver installation requires .net framework 1 or 2 for correct installation, you can get this from the ati driver site
note: after installation the screen may flicker and go balck for a few seconds, dont worry this is normal,it is windows configuring the display, once the driver is installed adjust screen resolution and refresh rate by going to control panel>settings..aand change the resolution and then click advanced and monitor and then apply the refresh rate,a 17" monitor normally has a refresh rate of 85hz,this will be the best
good luck
