I suggest that you eat more, but not high calorie foods. Your body will probably expend more calories as it realizes that "the famine is over". Because face it, your body's job is to keep you alive and if food is scarce, it will save as much as possible.

And when you DO do exercise, I suggest that you do muscle building exercises because then you will burn more with just your everyday activities.

The healthiest thanks to boost your metabolism is to exercising. in case you do not now, commence out slow. looking on your age and known health, attempt some thing low result like strolling everywhere from 10 minutes to an hour an afternoon. steadily strengthen it up, including 10 to twenty% per week. once you get cardio-more beneficial healthy, upload on weight practise. muscle mass use a large number of energy. fats makes use of none. So even at relax your metabolism will be larger. some thing less than 1600 energy an afternoon is undesirable on your metabolism. believe me in case you devour that and exercising on a daily basis you'll drop extra pounds if you're overweight. in truth i hit upon it almost no longer feasible to drop extra pounds till i'm taking in 1600 energy or more beneficial. My body is going into starvation mode.

eat the same daily amount of calories that you are eating now, but instead of the traditional 3 meals a day, spread it out over 4-6 meals a day. You are eating more often (about 3 hours between meals) but you are eating less at each sitting. This helps to keep your metabolism going from meal to meal.
