I beat my chest till it bruised, no joke. I prayed for him to show me who he really was, right when I asked a street light turned on kinda weird. Very mind opening. But still dont know who God is.

you won't know who GOD is until you have given your complete self to him. God knows what we want and he wants us to keep faith in HIM so when you want to hear from GOD you have to listen for a whisper. and trust in him to know that HE is who HE is.

LOL! Listen man all you gotta do is look around you. He made this.....everything down to the detail. This ain't no happen stance, something that just happened, we are a part of a plan. How about reading the Bible and stop beating yourself up. That will give you a better idea of what God is.

God doesn't answer to us, and He doesn't give signs when they are demanded of Him.
The truth of the matter is that the verse in the bible that talks about salvation, John 3:16, hold the key to your quest.
Whosoever, BELIEVETH in me, shall not perish.......
With God the father it is a ll about FAITH and the belief in Him and in Christs sacrifice. Faith without seeing is the most honest gift you can give back to Him in light of the gift he gave to you and to mankind.
I know that God is real and that he works in my life because through my undying FAITH he has been able to work and make things happen that shouldn't have.
Case in point:
My gear shifter broke on my car and we didn't have the money to fix it. I simply told God "Well, you're going to have to fix this Lord, becasue we don't have the money too!" And I truly believed that he would fix my car, so i didn't call a mechanics shop to tow it...I just went to bed believing that He would fix my car. The next morning i got in and gave it a turn, my husband in the backgrounf being unfaithful saying "What are you doing, it's broken!?" And because of his unbelief it didn't work. But for the next week, I prayed..."God, I know that Jason doesn't believe, but I DO....please fix my car." I tried it every morning for 6 days...and on the 7th day......my gear shifter moved and has been fine ever since. Thank You Jesus!
So.....it's all about Faith. God can't work through you or for you if you don't have Faith in Him.

that's a big thing because u have 2 read your bible and go to church. u just can't go because u know that's tha right thing 2 do, ya know? u go to learn about the man who died, layed down his life just 4 u. and to think some people don't even care. but let me tell u don't pull another stunt like that 1 again. why? because u don't play with god like dat. u could be gone 2-marrow and never c it comeing. that's how smart, and wise he is. hope i help!

God doesn't operate that way. What does he have to prove to you? He certainly does not mind us getting angry.....we are created in his likeness, so natural he gets angry too. He encourages questions. But since he knows how our lives will end, he will show himself to you in the way in which you will receive it best. Let's say something stranged happened and it really was a sign of God but you dismissed it as coincidence. Then what?
Prayer is the way to get closer to him, but more specifically, prayer to Jesus. Jesus is your liaison to God. He champions your causes to God. Try that route and I as long as you are a zealous seeker, he will reveal himself to you with great joy.

God doesn't dance to your tune. If you really want to know Him go to your knees and ask Him to revel Himself in your heart. A broken and contrite spirit will God in no wise turn away.

Read the bible. Gods name is in there more then 2000 times. Pray using his name and he'll show himself someway some how.

thats because he's the light of everyones life! when ur in darkness he light your way... when ur in troble he helps you... he loves you more then anyone else... all he wants and desires is your happines!!! so i find it really obvious the thing about the light.... God is simply love, and you will see him when u die, before i dont think so , but keep praying.. you may be surprised...
