I just aquired a new boy Pug puppy. I want to name him "Pudgy" or "Pudgie". How do you prefer the spelling of the name and why?
Thanks!

Pudgy, You will find that smaller spellings will fit name tags better. You will also find that your vet, groomer, or other places will usually default to spell things with a y over an ie. You can correct them, but habbit is habbit. It is just kind of cute too. I prefer the ie version of most things, just seems over kill on a Pug.

I would prefer Pudgy. To me, the "Y" at the end seems more masculine.

Pugslee -- both Pudgy or Pudgie makes him sound fat, sorry.

I think I like Pugdy. Pudgie sounds too much like you're calling him fat! lol :-P

Pugdy is a nice name, especially for pugs.

I like Pudgie, there is something about the ending "ie", don't know what it is.
