I think I may have strep throat but not sure. I have a sudden sore throat, my tongue has little red dots on it and my throat is red with white spots. I don't have a temp. I have had some congestion mostly in my ears. Should I go to the dr? I have had this 4-5 days.

Time to see a doctor. The only way to know for sure if it is strep is to have a test. If it is strep, it can cause a lot of very serious problems if not taken care of quickly.

i work in a drugstore and my pharmassist told me if I have little white spots on my throat and it hurts to swallow. Then the chances of having strep throat are 80%. Yes you should go to the doctor strep throat is contagious.

The only way to determine if you have strep is to have your doctor perform a strep test on you. You need to go to the doctor if you suspect you have strep for it is highly contagious and can lead to serious complications for you if you don't take care of it.

Feel better.

You might have it. Go to the Dr. and he can do a simple test to see for sure. If you do, you should be put on antibiotics right away.
