I am in Houston, Texas. I am 21, financially stable, and would love to have a family. I was adopted, so that's why I want to adopt. I want to give a child a great oppurtionity. And lots of love. Any tips would be appreciated. I know that it is a long process but I am willing to wait.

When I was 16 I got pregnant. I decided to give my son up for adoption. My OB/GYN refered me to Catholic Charities. This is who I went through choose the adoptive parent of my son. They were great. You do not have to be catholic. They work with everyone and provide great services to both adoptive and birth parents. My son is now 8 and he is wonderful. I would recommend this orginazation to anyone. Kudos to you for taking this route. My sons adoptive parents are awesome and I am sure you will be as well!! Good luck. I wish you the best.

You don't necessarily have to go to an agency! Try your local department in Houston...these kids are usually legally free to be adopted and although most a little older, they are just as much in need than an infant! Good luck, we are adopting a 5 year old that we have had for quite some time!

kudos to you!!!!. Its great that parents want to adopt children. there are many ways to do this. One is by contacting your local adoption agency and child welfare. They can often lead you to foster parenting links, which may lead to adoptions. Sometimes foster parenting is a good way to help children who dont have permenant families and mothers who are in need of help caring for their children.

I want to have a family too stacy but all the girls here in washington dc are lame. adoption is cool but i want to make kids from my own factory (if you know what i mean).
