hi hun , eventhough i have a huge regime of a night time which includes, toning, cleansing, facial scrub and mousturising, i still when i get out of bed give my face a gentle wash, nothing too harsh , just water and a soft face sponge. after that i apply my daytime mousturiser as a base primer for my make up. if i was you i wouldint give your face a huge scrub in the morning and again in the night. i just give my face a little wash in the mornin because when your asleep even in the cold you tend to sweat and i just like to be clean.

You'd think it would be hard to muck up your face during that all-too-brief period between hitting the hay and greeting the day. But sadly, you'd be wrong: Almost everyone's skin accumulates some oil overnight, according to Arielle Kauvar, M.D., associate director of the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of New York and clinical associate professor of dermatology at the New York University School of Medicine. And though the oil itself isn't necessarily bad, applying moisturizer and makeup directly on top of it is. Plus, if you use any treatment products at night, their residue, however invisible, could mess with your daytime makeup. Of course, you don't want to overcleanse either, because that can lead to parched, tight skin. But a rinse-off in the shower isn't enough. Dr. Kauvar's solution: Wash your face both in the pm and am with a gentle soapless cleanser that won't dry your skin out.

Always wash morning and night. Your skin is constantly shedding which makes for invisible buildup on your pillows. Also on your pillows is oil and other elements from your hair and face. So in essence, you should wash your face in the morning too. This is why I take a shower morning and night too.

Yes, unless you find that it's overdrying your skin. Your skin can pick up oil during the night from your pillowcase, hair, or hands.
