A lot of the things that plague us are the same things that hit the people centuries ago.
The age old question of is it better to be liked for who you appear to be than not liked because of what you are rings true to a lot of people.
Peer pressure, loss of trust, the loss of role models and the inevitable decline of self worth are all things which have helped with the loss of our "self" within the world.
The question you ask is one of those things that people can think about and each have their own personal experience that can help fill that that question up.
My own personal addition would be that talking and sharing your experience with other people who can empathize with you can counteract that kind of hole in the soul.
I read somewhere (and im sorry but i cant remember the name) that the absence of the "Soul mate" or someone who you can find those simular things in you that help you find your selfworth are the keys to being happy. And that sometimes it isn't a single person but a group of people who may or may not be related in any way.

Depends on the person i guess..what breaks some is merely a minor incident to others.. and we all feel at times that the grass looks greener but the Truth is that its not always that way.. I think we need to live life a day at a time and take what evers throw our way...and always try to have fun!!! life's to short enjoy what you have and don't worry what might have been or could be..that's what depresses you!!

You should have some self respect and change your picture. Unless the only redeeming quality you have are your double d's. Maybe you want the world to think you're as dumb as a box of rocks, but if that's the case, don't come crying to the website when men take you for granted later.

i think it takes a traumatic event to leave huge gaps, it can be one incidence or a series of them,,
it's up to us to fill those holes ourselves..we can't expect someone else can do that for us..and that task is often very difficult..to find purpose or meaning again
there is still good there, it's just a matter of you finding enough love inside yourself to see that you are still worthy of that before anyone else can love you
i embraced my madness, insanity years ago, it's those people who profess to be sane that frighten me

We are broken down little by little and do not even realize this. If we did notice we would have stopped this mess as we are strong women!!

We have all been there at one time or another--you're not alone--but you're the only one who can pick yourself up and cahnge it.
