I think it may be because i always polish them and they may be stained or something.. Is there anything I can put on them to make the yellow go away?

My toenails do the same thing. And it is from the polish they are staining the nails.

There is a solution you can buy at Sally's that bleaches the nail. Also you can buff about the top layer of nail.

Once you toe nails are back to their normal color, use a topcoat when painting, then apply the color. This will prevent yellowing.

For your sake, I hope it's just discoloration from the nail polish, but I'd check it out to be sure. I developed toenail fungus many years ago and I neglected to get the "cure". Instead, I just kept cutting the discoloration away. Today, I am entering retirement age and I wish I had. These little devils won't go away...They'll just keep multiplying and taking over your toenails. Please go see a reputable podiatrist. I emphasize the word REPUTABLE... If your toenails don't breathe, (get oxygen), perhaps the dreaded, and quite common by the way, fungus develops. The medical system in Canada is pushing Lamosil. The TV ads I've seen say that Lamosil producers are the experts re toenail fungus. From what I understand, it is also quite pricey and the "cure" is not shortcoming. It takes a long time to get those little fungi out from under the toenails. IF it is "The Fungus". it will eventually deform your toenails. Good luck, and Happy Holidays to you

If you don't use a good base coat on your nails, your polish will stain them very badly -- especially if you use a dark polish.

Use only a clear polish for the next 6 months. Cut your nails short and keep cutting away the yellowed part as the nails grow.

It could be the nail polish, but it most likely is a condition called Onychomycosis. Onychomycosis is a fungus of the nail, which causes it to become yellow and sometimes thick and crumbly. You can get an over-the-counter treatment at your local drug store. I recomment Tineacide or Restore-AF. These are fairly cheap and will help in treating the fungus. Consistency is key in treating this condition, though, so stay on top of it and apply the product regularly.

I used to have the same problem. I used baking soda the get rid off the yellow (use a cotton ball and rub on your nails) and the yellow will be gone.

The reason; you get it from your nail polish so use a clear base coat under your nail polish to protect your nails.

Soak your feet in acid. LOL - Just kidding
You may want to try soaking your toes in Epsom salt, not only will it relax your muscles but it will also remove those stains (sometimes caused by polish remover). Afterwards, you may want to have a pedicure done at a reputable nail salon.

If this does not help, you may have the beginning signs of nail fungus. YUCK!

if you keep polish on them all the time, then they don't get exposed to air which will cause the yellowing. I have the same problem, which is why my nails are always painted anyway!

if it is the nail polish you might be able to sand and buff them to remove the stain. If it is a fungus you need to see your doctor or podiatrist. Hopefully it is just a stain. I hope everything works out.

Well, my nail were yellowed due to me using my polishes without a base coat. My nails were ealthy but just stained. I used Yello-Out to get rid of it. It's supposed to be a natural nail whitener. Good luck!
